SAIID KOBEISY

Born in Beirut, Saiid Kobeisy’s first encounter with fashion came at an early age. Growing up around his father’s fashion business, a boutique in the vibrant fashion district of the city, Kobeisy began his love affair with the transformative power of womenswear. Whiling away hours in the company of fashionable clients, he witnessed the ability of design to inspire powerful emotional responses and hope - the thrill and emotional journey of fitting the perfect dress.

From a child quietly observing, to a young adult helping his father between his studies, Kobeisy embarked on his training at ESMOD Beirut where he specialized in pattern cutting. Shortly thereafter while being spotted by a private label to drive its relaunch, an opportunity to design his first bridal gown ignited Kobeisy’s passion to launch his own couture label. Acquiring an elite book of private clients initially across the Middle East, his signature approach to exquisite couture and made-to-measure evening and bridal wear grew by reputation, and in 2002 Kobeisy opened his first atelier in Beirut.

In 2015 Kobeisy launched his iconic bridal line and in 2017 introducing the SAIID KOBEISY woman to the Vision of Love concept. With an international mindset, Kobeisy’s reach grew globally and whilst opening his first two boutiques in the Middle East, today his designs, including couture and ready to wear, have reached over 130 points of sale internationally.

Kobeisy’s unwavering approach to creation is the freedom to have ideas unconstrained by any pre-existing rules or framework, and to be able to make them realities through a tenacious process of research and experimentation. Kobeisy works in a manner that advances his own ideas and cultivates skills and techniques, constantly pushing both the tradition and the evolution of couture design.
