Lea-Ann Belter
A Canadian designer with a fresh take on timeless, romantic aesthetics, Lea-Ann Belter has been crafting wedding gowns for two decades. Her journey began at the International Academy of Design and Merchandising, where her love for textiles and tailoring blossomed. This passion led her to train with a couturier, where she honed her skills and developed the hallmarks that define her work—flawless execution and impeccable quality.
Lea-Ann ultimately found her calling when she designed a wedding dress for her brother’s fiancée. She found bridal was the perfect expression of her love of fashion, fabulous fabrics, timeless aesthetics, and exquisite fit. Before long, Lea-Ann opened her first wedding gown boutique in the exclusive Yorkville area of Toronto. Five years later, she launched the Lea-Ann Belter Bridal Collection through a network of retailers.
In 2012, Lea-Ann moved her shop and production studio to their permanent home in Toronto on the corner of Dundas Street and Broadview Avenue. Every Lea-Ann Belter gown is hand-cut, draped, sewn, and finished in-house, ensuring each dress represents the craftsmanship for which the label is known.

Rendered in fine fabrics and precise seam work, the 2024 Lea-Ann Belter and Astrid & Mercedes collections were inspired by an evening at the ballet. Airy asymmetrical elements, oversized handmade flowers, and floating long puff sleeves exude drama. Classic couture techniques reveal themselves through corsetry, crisp ruching, and rich draping. Destined for twirling, full and sleek skirts flow gracefully to the floor. A focus on quality workmanship and Lea-Ann Belter's fresh approach to timeless style inform each silhouette's design.
